WoW Forever map coordinates: how do X/Y work?
WoW positions are per-zone percentages, not Earth coordinates.

What do X and Y mean?
X increases from left to right and Y from top to bottom, both running from 0 to 100 within one zone map. X=50, Y=30 means horizontally centered and 30% down. The pair has no useful meaning without the zone and its UiMapID.
Why can some pins be inaccurate?
NPC and rare locations may use old Classic positions, while ore points derive from GatherLite/Wowhead Forever. A Forever client background does not automatically validate a Classic coordinate.

How do /way commands work?
Use a compatible addon, check the UiMapID and ensure the right zone. A pin is a possible site, not live detection of a vendor or vein.
