How many rares are referenced up to level 30?
The Rares module lists 150 creatures at level 30 or below; 44 have a documented loot entry. These are catalogue counts, not a measurement of current server spawns.

How should you look for them?
Pick a level-appropriate zone, check every point on the rare map and read its provenance. A Classic entry does not confirm a Forever spawn; a client loot entry may exist without a verified in-game drop.
