Blacksmithing in WoW Forever: recipes and trainers
Changes to Blacksmithing and where to train.
Editorial review: 10 October 2026
What changed for Blacksmithing?
The beta client diff for build 1.60.1.70291 dated 2026-10-08 lists 506 entries for Blacksmithing, including 197 newly identified entries compared with Classic. These are client-data entries, not proof of recipes craftable before the level-30 cap.
Example archive titles: Breastplate of Salvation ; Enriched Thorium Helm. Unverified localizations remain in English.
Who can train this profession?
Use the Professions map to filter faction, skill and training tier. These are reference locations; actual trainer access and map coordinates must be checked for the relevant Forever build.
| Trainer | Faction | Area | Tier |
|---|---|---|---|
| Ug'thok | horde | Orgrimmar | apprentice |
| Snarl | horde | Orgrimmar | journeyman |
| Basil Frye | horde | Undercity | apprentice |
| James Van Brunt | horde | Undercity | journeyman |
| Thrag Stonehoof | horde | Thunder Bluff | apprentice |
| Karn Stonehoof | horde | Thunder Bluff | journeyman |
| Dane Lindgren | alliance | Stormwind City | apprentice |
| Therum Deepforge | alliance | Stormwind City | journeyman |
| Groum Stonebeard | alliance | Ironforge | apprentice |
| Rotgath Stonebeard | alliance | Ironforge | journeyman |
| Bengus Deepforge | alliance | Ironforge | expert |
| Saru Steelfury | horde | Orgrimmar | expert |
How can you obtain a particular recipe?
Check the trainer tier and skill, then search for the pattern in Vendors. A datamined record is not necessarily sold or learnable. Crafting difficulty colors do not equal learning prerequisites.
